Arcube.org upgrades to the .com with the help of Escrow.com

Arcube is a fast-growing Manchester-based startup delivering a cutting edge, post‑flight loyalty and ancillary revenue platform for airlines.

With a seed funding round of $1.5 million in January of this year, pilot success at Etihad, multiple industry awards, and expanding integration capabilities, the company is well-positioned for further scale in the travel tech space.

Harvey Lowe and Prithveesh Reddy, both aged 21, are co-founders of Arcube. The company was formed three years ago, when they were still teenagers. They went with the domain Arcube.org but after the latest finance round they upgraded to the matching .com domain, Arcube.com.

Registered in 2000, the domain was being used by CD Video Manufacturing, a company providing CD media duplication services for the past two decades.

The apparent sale took place in mid-June, with the domain Arcube.com moving under the control of Escrow.com. That exchange appears to have completed within a couple of weeks, moving the domain under the control of the buyer. Arcube.com now forwards to Arcube.org.

Such acts of domain rebranding are the norm, once a sizable amount of capital is made available. Using the services of Escrow.com for domain acquisitions is a great choice to ensure a secure the expedient exchange of the domain and the funds.

Update: The domain’s acquisition took place using the domain broker services of domain name specialist, Mike Robertson.

As Mike said:

“This transaction sure was a journey. 10 months in total. Lots of twists and turns and delays. Patience and perseverance were definitely the key.”
