Chinese domain market report : Humanoid robot has both looks and smarts

The Chinese have developed a female humanoid, a robot that looks very much human, which interacts intelligently with speech.

Jia Jia ponders life, the universe and human relationships. Kevin Kelly, the founding executive editor of Wired magazine spoke with Jia Jia over Skype, and translations from English to Mandarin and vice versa were automated.

Jia Jia is one of the few robots in the world that have both high robotic intelligence and a very human-like appearance, which is why she has received so much attention from the scientific community.

Meanwhile domain sales of short domains between 1 to 4 characters in the .CN, .COM and .NET TLDs maintain a healthy momentum in China.

Although it’s early to predict what the rest of the year will be like, and summer is always the crucial point on the curve, it seems as if Chinese domain investors are busy trading.

Volume rates are stable, but so is pricing for domain “Chips” – the four letter .COM or .CN domains that contain no vowels or the letter “V.”
