Chinese domain market sales have been following a downwards curve for many months now. Savvy domain investors, such as Tim Schoon, successfully sold their assets early on.
Despite the constant hyping, “Chips” prices fell below $1400, more than $1000 below their peak in 2015.
Will that peak ever get reached again?
Doubtful, but don’t discount the plans of the Hong Kong fund that started the game of “Chips” several moons ago.
We keep track of sales of short domains in China: 2 to 4 characters, on occasion 5, in the .CN, .COM and .NET TLDs.
The weekend’s combined list consists of 2 days’ worth of data, so it might seem bigger than usual.
