Defeated.com is a dictionary domain that was registered in 1998 and 20 years later it was sold at NameJet for the sum of $4,557 dollars.
At least, that’s what data from NameBio says and we cannot confirm that.
The domain name Defeated.com was parked with PPC ads or ad portals most of its life and somehow it wasn’t renewed by its registrant at NameSilo; the domain expired and dropped.
Before the alleged sale at NameJet, Defeated.com was in the possession of Tjark Auerbach, German founder of the Avira antivirus software. It seems that Mr. Auerbach left Avira GmbH in 2020, after more than 30 years an the company’s helm.
It would appear that by leaving that position behind, he lost control of Defeated.com, as it was managed by an account linked to Avira. We cannot confirm that, it’s simply a guess.
Defeated.com is now in auction at DropCatch with two days left and a current bid of $650 dollars. Surely it can do better!
Update: The auction for Defeated.com closed at $5,252 dollars.
