Dot .Dev stands for development, and the Google Registry managed to score almost 100,000 domain registrations in a matter of days.
There is no doubt that software engineers and developers make up the bulk of these registrations, and while some might be defensive reservations of trademarks, we believe that domain investors make a very small percentage of dot .Dev.
