Nowadays it might be that Iran is a country secluded from the West in more than one ways, but this does not mean that information over the Internet is not shared or delivered.
It appears that there is no such problem with registering any domain name in the ccTLD of Iran, which is .ir
While some say that imitation is the best demonstration of admiration, we are not quite sure what to believe in the case of DNJournal.
That is, DNJournal dot Ir.
The URL itself attempts to steal the thunder of the prominent publication created several years ago by Ron Jackson – the man who briefly became a multi-millionaire overnight.
However, there is a dark detail to the splendid Arab script that adorns the pages of DNJournal.ir
Simply put, DNJournal.ir has ripped at least two recent articles from DomainGang.com and translated them into Farsi – the Persian language – without quoting that fact or its source.
The first one, is our article about how Haiti.com is now a developed web site – the copy on DNJournal.ir can be viewed here. It is clear that an attempt has been made to beautify the article by adding a picture etc. No backlink to DomainGang.com has been provided.
The second one, is our article about domain .com’s of several colors and whether they are parked or developed – the copy on DNJournal.ir can be viewed here. Note, that in this case they used the same picture that we used and they simply downloaded it. Proof of it is the name, which contains “domaingang” in it.
That’s not cool, guys.
What does the Qur’an teach about theft, it’s about cutting off the thief’s arm – or something like that.

very uncool, but not uncommon. i worked for a software company and once on a hunch i checked the companys name in all extensions. sure enough someone had a site on ourcompanyname.hk or something. not only the domain and content but the entire layout of the site and all pages including a shopping cart selling our products unauthorized. amazing… ly, stupid.

Hello,
We sincerely apologize for what happened but as we know translation on the web does not follow copyright rules. We have added your web site as the source of articles…
Thank you
Greetings DNJournal.ir admin – it’s honorable of you that you have amended the articles to include the source. Translation of entire passages should follow the rules of journalism, at least. Best of luck with your publication. Great seeing readers of DomainGang from behind the great Persian wall of Babylon!
