I’m a lifetime coffeeholic and brew all types of coffee daily; the latest acquisition has been an espresso machine. Sold during the recent Amazon’s Prime Day extravaganza, the De’Longhi machine was a steal.
De’Longhi has been a producer of quality coffee makers for over 20 years and while they operate from the domain name DeLonghi.com, I was surprised to see a different domain name in the box’s flap.
The domain name DeLonghi.photo is an attempt by DeLonghi to redirect all product registrations off its main web site; it’s legitimately theirs.
At the end of the day, this domain sighting proved to be less important than the tasty cappuccino I enjoyed from the DeLonghi espresso machine.
What’s a “domain sighting,” you may ask.
It’s when we encounter domain names in the real world, that appear on vehicle wraps and signs, billboards and business signs, and product packaging. For convenience, we group them into .com domain sightings, and other ccTLDs, gTLDs and TLDs.
