Hurricane Florence is threatening the East Coast of the US, as a major event; everyone in its path should follow the directives of local and federal authorities.
MERGE! 2018 is about to begin in Orlando, Florida, and the event’s organizers sent out an update, as it relates to the Hurricane Florence situation:
We are hard at work to make an incredible event this weekend, but wanted to pause and let everyone know an update on Florence.
The MERGE team is closely following the progress of Hurricane Florence, and all current signs are indicating landfall in the Carolinas, with impacts to travel along the eastern seaboard on Friday and Saturday.
Orlando is not in the projected path of this event, but we have made some arrangements to aid our sponsors, speakers and attendees with earlier setup on Friday afternoon (vs Saturday AM) to avoid travelling in the brunt of the storm.
We will be sending out more notices over the coming days about the conference but wanted to proactively message our attendees to let them know that we’re ’business as usual’ for MERGE!
