DomainTools has rolled out Domain Risk Score, available as an intelligent API add-on to the award-winning Iris, as well as a separate data feed.
The DomainTools data science team has applied machine learning capabilities atop DomainTools’ vast databases of DNS and domain profile information, in order to identify malicious domains as they are being created.
Using both live and historical records in the industry, Domain Risk Score identifies those domains that have a likelihood of being used for phishing, malware, or spam.
The “F Score” quotient, a method of assessing detection and false positive rates, for multiple test runs rendered the correct verdicts for more than 99% of the time.
Tim Chen, CEO of DomainTools said during the security webinar:
“Our goal is to help security professionals detect, investigate, and prevent malicious activity online. Domain Risk Score further enables us to deliver on that commitment. Applying the expertise of our data science team to DomainTools’ detailed data sets on nearly every active domain on the internet has delivered a unique predictive model that truly helps security teams stay ahead of emerging threat infrastructure.”
