Today is Earth Day, the celebration of protecting and conserving earth’s resources and the environment.
The first time that Earth Day was celebrated in the US was April 22, 1970 according to the official web site, EarthDay.org.
In 1990 the event turned global.
So what about EarthDay.com?
It’s owned by domain investor, Mike Mann, who wants $399,888 dollars for it.
That’s almost $400k so why the odd number?
It’s all related to Mike Mann’s founding of BuyDomains in 1998 and his introduction of asking prices ending in “888” a tradition that continues to this date.
Would you spend $400k for EarthDay.com? Now it’s your chance. 😉
I would prefer Earthday.world but not sure what the price tag is on that one or if its even for sale. Having .world just seems to truly hit home Earth day and how the entire planet needs human kind to be gentle to our little rock.
Thought it was earth.com for a moment, was nearly tempted.
400k for a domain named earthday.com is way too high.
