Escrow.com has released its Domain Investment Index report for Q2/2023.
During Q2/2023, the total domain name volume on Escrow.com declined from $129.8 million dollars in Q1/2023 to $89 million dollars.
Notably, the quarter experienced a decrease in the number of mega domains compared to the previous quarter. However, there is a positive trend with volume slowly picking back up after the recently concluded NamesCon event in early June.
One of the significant highlights of the quarter was the remarkable surge in dot .ai domain registrations, nearly doubling from the previous quarter. As a result, the sales of .ai domains reached their highest recorded volume to date.
Alongside this surge, Escrow.com also witnessed an increase in the median price of various domain types.
Overall, despite the temporary dip in total domain volume, the flourishing interest in .ai domains and the rising median prices across diverse domain categories indicate a promising and dynamic domain market.
