FDJ.com sold for forty grand at #DropCatch

FDJ.com is the youngest LLL .com domain, after its previous registrant lost control of it for unspecified reasons. The domain dropped a few days ago.

The three letter .com was auctioned off at DropCatch, an expert domain dropcatching marketplace with powerful resources.

The auction ended up at $40,100 dollars, which is a solid amount for a non-premium, mixed letter quality three letter .com domain name.

We are not seeing any WHOIS changes so far, as FDJ.com still retains the DropCatch WHOIS information. Once payment clears, FDJ.com will most likely hide its WHOIS.

Some interesting information, courtesy of French domain investor and entrepreneur, Francois Carrillo of Domaining.com and Catchy.com, who told us:

“FDJ is a company owned by the French government that just went private after a $2 billion IPO.
It’s the largest European company about bet games, their site is fdj.fr – If they are aware about this auction they should take this incredible opportunity to get the domain.”

We’ll have to wait and see what happens.
