Free Speech Systems Media Holdings: Domain names included in this upcoming auction

The IP assets of conspiracy theorist Alex Jones’ Infowars empire are included in an upcoming auction; its proceeds will then go towards the debt of $1.5 billion dollars in compensation to the families of Sandy Hook victims. Jones falsely claimed the 2012 school shooting never happened, leading some of his followers to harass and threaten the families for years.

The web site where all assets are described notes, in summary, the following:

Interested parties will need to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement  to receive further details and bidding materials. The assets will be open for bidding in various groupings or as a whole, with all bids requiring a 10% deposit and subject to qualification. Bidders deemed competitive by the Bankruptcy Trustee and Auctioneer may participate in live over-bidding rounds. The assets could be sold in parts or as a whole for continued operation, based on the Trustee’s evaluation of the highest and best bids.

The funds generated from the sale will be distributed by the Trustee following US Bankruptcy Court guidelines, primarily benefiting the estate creditors, including the families of Sandy Hook victims. The sale process will be transparent, allowing any party to participate if they meet the qualifications, including proof of financial capability. The sale of Free Speech Systems’ assets is subject to approval by the US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas, in relation to the case of Alexander E. Jones.
