The sustained growth of .FR domains in 2023 was a pleasant event, according to a report released by Afnic, Registry operators for the French ccTLD.
Growth of .FR domains amounted to 3.4% annually, reaching a total of 801,427 domain names. In fact, additions were up 6.4% while deletions reached 7% hence the net growth rate figure above.
Other data shows that more than 40% of domain names in France are .FR registrations, with .com and other TLDs following. It’s clear that the French support their national domain TLD!
