Gobble gobble: Mike Mann has sold the SEO.com business

Domain mega-investor, Mike Mann, is no longer the owner, or CEO of the business operating from the ultra-premium domain name SEO.com.

Mike Mann announced the transition of ownership to WebFX, a digital marketing monolith. The company shared the exciting news in an announcement:

“We’re so excited to unveil SEO.com — your trusted authority for all things SEO, created by the WebFX team. Check it out today for the latest SEO tips, trends, and industry news to power your strategy!”

It is almost certain that the sale took place in late summer, quite possibly in August. Due to obvious agreements between WebFX and Mike Mann, it was only announced in recent days.

SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization and it’s the practice of optimizing online content to improve the visibility and ranking of web sites in search engine results pages (SERPs). The goal of SEO is to attract organic (non-paid) traffic to an online destination, by ensuring that it’s relevant and valuable to search engine users such as Google.

Congratulations to Mike Mann and WebFX for this massive sale, the details of which might never be known!
