Alphabet, the parent company of search engine Google, blew away Q2/2021 estimates yesterday.
Leading its strength in advertising and cloud computing sales, GOOG climbed today following stellar results shared by the company:
- Q2/2021 revenue: $61.88 billion vs. $56.23 billion expected
- GAAP earnings per share: $27.26 vs. $19.325 expected
Ad revenue skyrocketed by 69% from Q2/2020 with overall total revenue shooting up by 62% year to year.
That’s some tremendous growth during the pandemic year!
There’s no doubt that Google, despite recent privacy concerns and heat from lawmakers in Washington, has no competition in the field of ad-driven advertising, and is the #1 search engine in the world.
