Teenage activist, Greta Thunberg, made a powerful statement at the United Nations; the 16 year old Swede didn’t mince her words about how politicians are treating our planet’s future:
“You have stolen my dreams and my childhood with your empty words. We are in the beginning of a mass extinction and all you can talk about is money and fairy tales of eternal economic growth – how dare you!”
Lack of effective action on the global warming threat by the world’s biggest producers of carbon emissions, is motivating the world’s youth to create a new kind of backlash, fueled by social media.
That being said, Greta Thunberg does not seem to own her domain name, GretaThunberg.com which was registered in 2018, according to DomainTools. Her full name is “Greta Tintin Eleonora Ernman Thunberg.”
How do we know that the WHOIS data is bogus?
WHOIS data from GoDaddy where GretaThunberg.com is registered at, displays a fake Privacy WHOIS email address, proxydomainwebmaster@yahoo.com.
That, is not a real WHOIS proxy service, and the address and phone number point to the New York City Bar Legal Referral Service.
That phone number, however, appears to be on an obsolete web page; the New York City Bar Legal Referral Service uses alternate numbers for its Monday Night Law service.
According to domain research by domain investor, Dan Sanchez, the same email address is linked to a variety of personal domain names. Dan calls this a “theater act.”
Is it time that GoDaddy takes a look into this?
