Russia’s national currency, the Ruble, has been on a steep fall compared to major currencies.
Currently trading at 124 to the US dollar, the Ruble’s worth is the direct product of steep economic measures against Russia, caused by its unprovoked invasion on Ukraine.
Since our article on Ruble.com, a domain owned and operated by Tucows on its Mailbank platform and DNS, the domain has been very unstable.
It’s once again offline, not displaying the Mailbank lander like its sister Ruble.net does; that’s also a domain owned by Tucows.
Elliot Noss, Tucows CEO, was the first in the domain industry to issue a public reaction against Russia’s invasion and we wonder if the decommissioning of Ruble.com is intentional.
Or is it a DDoS attack that keeps the domain Ruble.com offline?
