Donald Trump’s motto for the US election has been, “Make America Great Again,” and the .com owner believed she hit the jackpot.
Since the media campaign failed to register MakeAmericaGreatAgain.com, its current owner, Rosa Max, attempted to present bipartisan content on the web site.
The practice confused many Republican visitors, who expected to see Donald Trump’s positions on how to make America great again, but instead saw positive content about Hillary Clinton as well.
Eventually, Rosa Max, who is a Los Angeles resident and an aspiring environmentalist, decided to post a whimsical image of an elephant with the message:
“I don’t think America should elect any president in 2016. We need to be single for a few years and find ourselves. “
Ms. Max acquired the domain MakeAmericaGreatAgain.com on an eBay auction, ponying up $5,000 dollars last month.
According to an article at the Los Angeles Times, Frank Schilling‘s valuation before Donald Trump’s campaign became public was between $100 to $500 dollars. But he has now changed his valuation to a $25,000 dollar minimum, with no ‘hopes’ of it falling back to the four figure range it sold for.
Tessa Holcomb of igloo.com described the domain’s sale as falling within the $2,500 – $25,000 dollar range that other, similar domains sold for.
