Who says you can only run a business on a .com domain?
Certainly not Metro-Air, an air conditioning and heating comfort specialist in Pinellas county, Florida.
Family owned and operated since 1973, the company uses a rare .biz domain name, MetroAir.biz, to distinguish itself from the Kansas company using the .com.
As their web site states:
“Metro-Air is a family owned and operated heating and air conditioning company specializing in custom residential and commercial installation and expert service with high performance standards.”
What’s a “domain sighting,” you may ask.
It’s when we encounter domain names in the real world, that appear on vehicle wraps and signs, billboards and business signs, and product wrapping. For convenience, we group them into .com domain sightings, and other ccTLDs, gTLDs and TLDs.
