British rock band Oasis formed in Manchester in 1991 by lead vocalist Liam Gallagher, guitarist Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs, bassist Paul “Guigsy” McGuigan, and drummer Tony McCarroll.
They were joined by Liam’s older brother, Noel Gallagher, who became the band’s main songwriter and lead guitarist. Oasis quickly rose to fame in the mid-1990s as one of the leading bands of the Britpop movement, known for their anthemic sound and catchy melodies.
Whilst Oasis disbanded in 2009 thanks to brotherly disagreements, the dream of reforming the band never died. As if by miracle, 15 years later, Oasis have reformed and are preparing their first gig for the summer of 2025.
It’s most likely going to be hellish hot next July when Britons and worldwide fans will come together in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh, and Dublin for a quintet of live performances. But what a great chance to “definitely maybe” listen LIVE to epic songs such as Wonderwall, Don’t look back in Anger, and What’s the Story!
Which leads to the next item on our menu, the matching domain name Oasis.com.
Registered in 1993 and thus one of the very early domains registered, Oasis.com is the property of portfolio holders Apex Moon.
Between 2010 and 2020 the domain was hosting some type of dating web site; before that, it was both parked and serving as the web site of an Australian IT company.
Oasis.com is available to acquire and with Oasis reforming it’s a great opportunity for Apex Moon to capitalize on the obvious surge in type-in traffic.
The official domain of Oasis is OasisiNet.com which would make even the most newbie domainer cringe! π
Perhaps, after their next set of gigs, Oasis will be able to gather enough money to buy Oasis.com. π
