Hashnest Cloud Mining, a cryptocurrency services company based in China, has spent some serious cash on a dot .APP domain name.
OTC.app was reportedly acquired by Hashnest on Many 15th. The company’s founder, Rob Zhang, spent “over 6 figures CNY” equivalent of Bitcoin for the domain.
The seller is Jeremy HM Chou, CEO of DomainEX.App, a portfolio holder of domain names that include numerous dot .APP keywords.
The CNY to USD equivalent is currently at 0.144623, so the sale is at five figures USD.
