The hosting company that DomainGang runs on shared with us news of an upcoming downtime due to a physical move of their NYC servers.
The move will involve extended downtime, commencing on or around 8:00pm Eastern on November 13th. There is no exact ETA about resuming uptime, although it’s expected to last 6 to 8 hours on average. We will update this post when new information is made available to us.
This is a move from NYC to New Jersey and it affects dozens of servers and affecting thousands of web sites.
Outside of the downtime and transition pains, this is also exciting news; the infrastructure at the new location is better and will provide additional throughput of up to 40Gb/s with additional redundancy.
Through this move, these upgrades will directly increase performance and improve network availability.
