Spend.com rolls out website and it’s not a bank

The buyer of Spend.com acquired the dropped domain in a DropCatch auction for $802,500 dollars in January.

Since then, no updates were made to the landing page of Spend.com—until today.

Spend.com has rolled out a web site that sits behind Cloudflare DNS, masquerading its web host’s IP addresses. The web site’s social media accounts remain unlinked.

Spend appears to be preparing a premium card that offers rewards such as 4% back in Bitcoin. That being said, the entity offering the Spend Rewards credit card states that it’s not a bank and the card itself is not yet available.

Spend, Inc. provides a contact address in Cheyenne, Wyoming, which is a virtual office address shared with others.

So why Wyoming?

Wyoming is a top choice for business formation due to its no state corporate or personal income tax, strong privacy protections such as anonymous LLC ownership and low fees.

Spend.com is accepting applications for its upcoming card but due to these anonymity layers mentioned above one might want to proceed carefully. 🤔
