Rick Schwartz’s Stud.com domain pitching platform, is now live; in a limited format that reveals the direction it’ll be taking.
The Domain King is rolling out Stud.com as a multi-industry tool for expanding and finalizing the role of “unfinished domains.”
By calling it a “Freelance Collaboration & Domain Breeding Marketplace” Stud.com will be targeting entrepreneurs, domain investors, and talent in an attempt to mix and match those elements.
In other words, it’s a Y Combinator style platform for domains, and more.
We can’t wait for the official launch! 😀
I’m a pretty positive person and was eagerly anticipating the launch…
But it’s a pre-alpha version…
I think they should keep it private until its somewhat ready for showtime.
When everyone is talking about Web 3.0, we must commend Rick for going back in time and launching a website that looks like a Web 1.0 website launched in early 90s. I mean who uses tables on homepage and a blinking font on top that says “No Trading or communication” lol ? I am sure he has good intentions, and maybe we are missing some key details but wow, what a terrible looking website . Just because you were lucky enough to get into domaining in 1990s, doesn’t make you an expert in building and launching marketplaces.
Robert – Anyone can be a critic and I’m not sure where Rick is heading but at least give him credit for having a plan. If he needs to change his programmers etc. that’s the easiest thing to do.
