Fred Krueger is an investor and an internet personality with a passion for crypto and digital currencies such as Bitcoin.
His LinkedIn profile states that in 2009, he served as founder and chairman of “Minds and Machines,” which was
In late January, Fred Krueger created a meme coin, named $Stupid, on the Solana blockchain. He demonstrated the process of creating a “shitcoin” in a series of short videos. The $Stupid coin gained traction, operating from the domain name StupidCoinSol.com.
That domain now forwards to Stupid.com, indicating that there is an arrangement of sorts between its owner and the $Stupid coin launch. It’s not clear whether Stupid.com was sold; a post by Fred Krueger about Stupid.com marks it as a “$1 million” dollar domain.
So did Stupid.com sell for $1,000,000 dollars?
Simply noting a domain’s value is not a clear statement of having actually purchased it. That being said, the $Stupid coin has gained traction since the domain name Stupid.com was introduced in a series of tweets.

We do not endorse $Stupid or any other meme coin and you should exercise extreme caution when considering investments in highly speculative assets like meme coins, as they carry significant risk. Always conduct thorough research and consult with a qualified financial advisor before making any investment decisions, as losses can and often do occur in such ventures.
The domain changed hands at the end of 2024 and a GoDaddy landing page went up. Then, the same day as the $STUPID coin went live the contents of the domain changed. Given Fred’s connection to GoDaddy and the domain appearing to have changed hands months ago, it seems clear Fred bought the domain in advance of launching the coin. Otherwise, we’re meant to believe that the owners of stupid.com were tracked down and a deal was struck and the domain changed hands in just a few hours?
@man – Clearly, we’re not stupid!
It’s a great demo of what premium, generic, and often stupid domains can do!
