The Domain King, Rick Schwartz, received a double windfall upon the sale of the domain Candy.com.
The most recent chunk of money arrived when the buyer of the business Rick had secured stock in sold it for a huge amount. Rick sold his Candy.com shares and scored another big chunk of cool cash.
According to a recent Twitter post, the Domain King’s investments of choice include the following:
- Gold and silver
- Diamonds
- Bitcoin
- Art
- Watches
- Real estate
- Domain names
From that list, Rick Schwartz states that he’s a proponent of owning both real estate and domain names; the rest is not mandatory.
We could argue that Rick has also a sweet tooth for candy and the acquisition of the domain name DiscountCandy.com shows that! 🙂
Rick appears to have acquired the domain in a GoDaddy auction for a mere $760 dollars last May. The WHOIS remained private until recently.
