In 2018, the hosting business operated by 1&1 was rebranded as IONOS. Last year, the company went public at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
Andreas Maurer, Head of Public Relations at IONOS, recently noted that even in Germany, few people outside of the cloud and hosting space are familiar with the full range of companies under the IONOS umbrella.
