NameFind is the holding company of GoDaddy’s portfolio of owned domain names. For many years, NameFind.com has been selling domains to private inquiries, sharing its inventory that is thematically categorized.
Last December, NameFind and GoDaddy organized an auction extravaganza event that resulted in many quality domains being sold. As GoDaddy does not share data, there are no exact numbers to report but we can estimate it to be in the seven figure range. This summer, a second event took place with NameFind inventory of lesser quality domains being auctioned off, totaling roughly mid six figures.
This doesn’t mean NameFind has sold its best domains and we expect another Christmas mega-sale to take place at the end of the year.
What’s hard to comprehend though is what the hell has happened to NameFind.com?
The domain was moved to a WordPress installation at some point to host a blog; there are broken and test links that remind us of an abandoned estate and the sad demise of sister Afternic as an independent, searchable index of domains.
Is it a glitch, or was the person in charge of the NameFind blog development laid off? 🤔
