The auction for the domain and assorted service, ShipDomainersPigeonShit.com broke new records at the extended auction at SnapNames.
Touted as “the most active domain auction” ever, the listing has received more than 800 bids, with a current high bid that stands at $320,000 dollars – give or take a few bitcoins.
The domain’s owner, Buddy Farkins, explained the modus operandi of his businesss:
“Most domainers own crap domains but hate to admit it. What we do, is send them an email that includes a “Pigeon Shit Domain” certificate, and a picture of steaming manure. You can send this to your friends or enemies, for only $4.99″
Farkins, who started the web site ShipDomainersPigeonShit.com just four days ago, has already received threats from domain owners who were sent the email as part of his service:
“I get threats all the time due to my job as an investigative domain blogger, but this time I received death threats. People don’t like being told they own pigeon shit domains!”
SnapNames expects the auction will fetch at least $500,000 making it most popular than Cowboys.com.
