Exciting news for videogame enthusiasts around the world; Twitch.TV has acquired the domain name Twitch.com.
As we have exclusively reported, Twitch.com changed hands late last year, and in January it emerged in the hands of the Negotiator Agency.
Twitch announced its own conference, TwitchCon, yesterday, scheduled for September 25-26, in San Francisco, and at the same time Twitch.com received another change of WHOIS info.
According to DomainTools, Twitch.com is now managed by Com Laude – a specialist domain name management company that assists corporations manage their domain name portfolios.
Most importantly: Twitch.com now points to Twitch.tv. 😀
Its previous owner, Mr. Peter Kay, has most likely been enjoying a sizable payoff; after all, when Amazon acquired Twitch.TV they paid $970 million dollars in an all-cash deal.
While there are no official news or announcements at this time from Twitch.TV, it’s almost certain that Twitch.TV will be rebranding to the .com pretty soon.
