BTB.com domain : Chinese pinyin for Bitcoin sells for six figures USD

The three letter .com domain, BTB.com, is Chinese pinyin for “Bitcoin” – BiTeBi.

According to domain investor and Guta.com founder, George Hong, the domain recently sold for more than $150,000 dollars.

“A domain investor from China just acquired BTB.com (acronym for Bitcoin in Chinese), which might cost him over 1M CNY!!”

NameBio has recorded a past sale of BTB.com in 2014, for $38,350 dollars.

Looks like a hot year ahead for Bitcoin domains, and so far the first 8 months of 2017 have been promising.

However, Chinese regulators are considering further controlling and suspending all initial coin offerings (ICO) of cryptocurrencies in China.

Many thanks to George Hong for sharing this information about BTB.com.
