Following on the heels of the YK.com sale, another two letter .com appears to have been resold: PT.com.
After being sold in October 2015 for a reputed low seven figures, the domain remained with the Chinese domain registrar, eName.
This has changed, and the domain PT.com is currently at GoDaddy, under privacy WHOIS.
That’s a strong indication that it might have been acquired by a Western company, in stark contrast with the recent trend in sales of LL .com domains.
Other than that, Chinese domain market sales remain flat.
We keep track of domains that changed hands in China, of between 2 to 4 characters in length, in the .CN, .COM, and .NET TLDs.
Here’s the list of the day:
pt.com
lkf.cn
wdn.cn
ddfq.com
dylw.com
jxqw.com
kpsx.com
kpzk.com
mwrw.com
ncxl.com
qllt.com
ypzp.com
yrjp.com
zcmg.com
zzfs.com
As an added bonus, another major Chinese geo-domain appears to have changed hands:
Jiangxi.com
This is the 4th Chinese province .com that has changed ownership, following Guangdong.com, along with Fujian.com and Sichuan.com.
