As she exited her car after her first Indianapolis 500 pole day qualifying attempt on Saturday, Danica Patrick was visibly upset.
So upset, that she threw her primary sponsor – GoDaddy.com – right under the bus.
“This is the worst domain registrar I’ve ever had,” she said, according to USA Today’s Nate Ryan on twitter. “There’s no way to move domains out for 60 days after an address change; you always feel like you have to buy hosting services when all you need is a damn domain name. It’s just scary, really scary … It’s awful, really awful. I think I’m still shaking.”
When Danica’s comments were played over the track’s public announcer, she was booed by a group of domainers loyal to GoDaddy.
“That stupid, ugly $@!!@%$ cannot insult GoDaddy like this!”, yelled Donny Roy Johnson, a NASCAR fan who is also a domainer. “Can’t blame the horse for the rider’s crooked legs now, can you?”
Danica’s level of performance has lately been matching that of her looks: lukewarm and lacking a spark. Maybe it’s time for the legendary Bob Parsons to consider a new mascot for his domain registrar?

I nominate: Tia Woods!
With out knowing the full story, that’s bs. GoDaddy should drop her.
no registrar offer that useless restriction
Godaddy.com is a bunch of crooks and many people know that. That alone has caused her popularity to go downhill.
I really don’t understand her comments. Does’nt make sense. I have called in approx. 1,000+ domains to register with Godaddy and just sold one for 5-figures.
Maybe, instead of using the platform and she called in she would not have any problems. And why would she want to move domains out anyway!
Godaddy should use real person using domains registered and hosted at GD—-and publicized their business.
More exposure and a big win to the Domain business.
LOL, no one noticed how there is no “100%” badge on this article yet the people commenting take this article, her actions, so seriously…
