The two letter domain QM.com changed hands two days ago, from a registrant in Hong Kong to a new one in mainland China.
According to domain investor, George Kirikos, who tracks such valuable transactions, the apparent sale occurred on September 30th.
Kirikos has been tracking the ownership data of two letter .com domains, and has come to an astounding conclusion.
Out of all possible two letter (LL) .com combinations, 125 LL .com domains are in the hands of Chinese domain registrants.
That’s 18.49% of all LL .com domains!
Current domain valuation for LL .com domains exceeds the half a million USD mark, and the Chinese domain market is still financing a large part of this domain genre.
