FOX One: Which domain names might be involved?

Fox Corporation will launch its new direct-to-consumer streaming service, FOX One, prior to the start of the NFL season.

The platform will consolidate all of Fox’s programming, including news, sports, and entertainment, into a single digital offering.

The announcement follows the company’s decision to abandon plans for the joint sports streaming venture, Venu, in favor of pursuing its own independent service.

So which domain name might be the official platform for Fox One?

With FoxOne.com already registered since 1995, the only option would be to acquire the domain. Its owner appears to have used it as a portal to share family updates. There are indications that the domain might have been acquired already.

An update took place on April 20th, which might be a normal renewal for the domain’s due date of May 18th. Holding a domain for this long indicates a personal connection to it.

However, on April 3rd, the domain FoxOne.org was registered with GoDaddy Corporate Domains, a sub-platform at GoDaddy for special corporate accounts. Operating from GCD.com, the platform is deemed as a safe vault for premium domains.

It makes sense, therefore, that FOX One might be using FoxOne.org as the official domain name, unless they managed to acquire FoxOne.com.

Meanwhile, the company’s official link is under the Fox.com web site.
