Sold a domain on BrandBucket? Do not just disclose the sale!

BrandBucket has been a successful domain marketplace for brandable domain names, and more.

The company acquired Novanym recently, mere months after ending its Afternic arrangement.

Many domain investors with brandable domains achieve successful sales on BrandBucket. There is one thing to remember, however, should you sell a domain on BrandBucket:

Do not disclose the domain sale—unless you have secured BrandBucket’s approval for doing so. Failure to comply can lead to an account’s termination.

The terms of use on BrandBucket.com explicitly mention the following:

“Information on any domain name sold at Company, including the name, price, and/or logo design, may not be listed on third-party websites or marketplaces without Company’s approval.

Company retains the right to be the sole publisher of sales information to comply with customers’ needs to make this information private at any time. Providers publishing domain sales information without Company’s approval risk having their accounts canceled.”

As BrandBucket is a private company, it can set and enforce its own set of rules; compliance with these rules is necessary when selling domains on its marketplace.
