In November 1965, the legendary group “The Rolling Stones” released one of their biggest hits: “Get off of my Cloud“.
Since then, the popularity of the term became dormant, until the latest surge in interest and the acquisition of iCloud.com by Apple for a few cool million dollars.
As much as the news of the $250 million dollar sale of Cloud.com – a brick and mortar company – brought euphoria to domainer newbies worldwide, the sad truth is that the Rolling Stones still “Can’t get no Satisfaction” out of this.
“It’s like riding on our success of 50 plus years, it’s like bollocks”, said the group’s legendary leader, Mick Jagger.
“I have talked to Keith and we are both very much going forth with a motion to eliminate those attempts to piss on our parade, you know”, added Mick.
Apparently, the idea is to invalidate the Citrix / Cloud.com merger by seeking punitive damages in the $2.5 billion dollar range.
“Definitely not greedy, you know”, said Keith Richards while inhaling some white substance.
“I have habits to feed, you know, and Mick and I aren’t getting any younger these days, you know!”, he added with a smirk.
The lawsuit will most likely be filed in London, UK in the coming weeks. Until then, fans of the Cloud.com merger might have to “Paint it Black.”
I’m still waiting to hear about the ongoing lawsuit against Jann Wenner for using their name for his music magazine.
Paul – That’s the beauty of plural vs. singular 😀
Is this a joke?
Molly Marisa – “Brown Sugar”, “As tears go by”, “Can’t you hear me knocking?”
“I wanna be your man”, so “Live with me” before I have my “Nineteenth nervous breakdown”.
