Who needs domains when comics sell for millions? Right?
At least, that’s the case with the recent sale of a copy of the first issue of Action Comics, featuring the virgin appearance of Superman.
The June 1938 mint condition issue – priced at 10 cents at the time of publication – was just sold for an astonishing $2.16 million dollars.
That’s $2,160,000 dollars for the decimal-challenged amongst you.
This amazing sale was achieved on ComicConnect.com – a web site dedicated to high end comic sales, many of which are noteworthy; the latest sale is a definite record.
Would Rick Schwartz consider getting involved into the comic book aftermarket, now that he’s retiring from active blogging? 😀
