Kim “Schmitz” Dotcom – the larger than life CEO of Megaupload – has been released on bail, after it was determined he’s not a flight risk.
According to New Zealand publication Stuff.co.nz:
In granting bail this morning, Judge Nevin Dawson said at the North Shore District Court that officials had investigated Dotcom’s potential access to funds and “none of significance” had been found.
[…] Judge Dawson granted bail to his Coatesville house with the conditions that he did not have access the internet, no helicopter be allowed to travel to the property, that he would not travel more than 80km from the property and that he give police 24 hours notice of any appointment that required him to leave the property, except for medical emergencies.
“Fat” Kim Dotcom thus remains on Kiwi soil, awaiting further legal maneuvers from his legal team. Meanwhile, Megaupload.com remains seized by the FBI.
LOL, it’s uncanny how well you’ve matched the Numa guy’s movements with the megaupload song: it’s almost as if Kim Dotcom used the Numa tempo as the basis for their advert.
fizz – Thanks man. Some things are meant to be 😀
