More than a month ago, the domain name MR.org was auctioned on Sedo.
After 18 bidders battled for ownership, “bidder #7” placed an offer of more than $10,000 and won the auction.
Some speculated that the auction was not “bona fide” and while we cannot confirm that part, it’s evident that there has been no payment for MR.org thus far.
In fact, MR.org still points to the Sedo auction results.
Would this be a case of a deadbeat buyer, or a person buying time in order to flip the domain at a higher price before paying for the auction?
Sometimes, a seller who is desperate to sell a domain, could be willing to wait it out much longer, but one should demand from Sedo to intervene and ban such abusers of the domain auction system.
We will update you if there is any news on this case.
