What do Domainers expect on Valentine’s Day?

Valentine’s day is not about domain names directly, unless one is a domainer. The annual celebration of disclosing or reaffirming one’s love for their sweetheart usually involves the following staple items:

  • A dozen red roses
  • A box of quality chocolates
  • A well-written card
  • Optional: a piece of jewelry
  • Foot massages

We decided to research what’s on the domain names most closely related to the Valentine’s culture.

Valentines.com features a selection of cheesy options, from chocolate to lingerie, in true 1995 fashion – that’s the year the domain was registered.

Meanwhile, ValentinesDay.com is a parked page that would not inspire many desperate last-minute beaus to gather the necessities for their girlfriend or spouse.

Chocolate.com and Chocolates.com forward to the same portal containing a large number of chocolate items for every occasion but particularly so for the sweet tooth of your squeeze.

If you visit Lingerie.com you can get her the crotchless panties that you wanted to see her in, so badly.

A step further, at AdamEve.com and you’ll be shopping for some adult toys – be nice to her and you shall “receive”.

At Diamonds.com you will find overpriced pieces of shiny stone that was left under extreme pressure for several million years.

ValentinesCards.com is a parked page and Cards.com is a parked page in disguise. Just go to Hallmark.com and pick the right card for her.

RedRoses.com is yet another parked page, gotta love those domainers. Roses.com forwards to Florist.com so why not go directly to Flowers.com and get her a really nice bouquet?

As for a foot massage, ignore the parked page at FootMassage.com or FootMassages.com and use your own lazy hands to rub her footsies until she melts with pleasure.

Whatever you do, don’t register any cheesy domains as a gift.

Happy Valentine’s!

John – I concur, hence the choice of imagery.

Richard – That’s how we end up spending a fortune on Valentine’s.

BullS – World peace? That’s what Miss Universe usually says 😀
