This is truly interesting, to say the least.
When searching for “Offers” in Google, the number one result is not the generic, trademarked, and otherwise content-rich web site, Offers.com, which occupies the second spot instead.
For some odd reason, Google’s own Offers service is the #1 result for “Offers.”
The only problem: that service is no longer available, having closed down the service in March of 2014.
So why would Google display that extinct service as the #1 result for “Offers” is not something that should go along with Google’s own guidelines on provision of useful, up to date content.
On a side note, the top result for “Offers” when searching in Bing, is Offers.com.
