Dot .NYC is launching next week, and if you’re a resident of the Big Apple, then you qualify for the newest geo-gTLD to hit the open market.
Unlike dot .Vegas, dot .NYC applicants have to be residents in order to register domains, and proof of residency will be required.
Perhaps due to the city officials being overly protective of the New York culture and heritage, but also due to the fact that the population of New York exceeds 19 million in 2014.
New York and even New York City alone, exceed the population of medium sized European countries, so who will be able to grab their dot .NYC?
But what if you were able to openly register dot .NYC domains, would you invest in them? This is the subject of today’s poll.
