Unblock.com : Generic domain name hit with UDRP

A UDRP was filed against Unblock.com

At the end of July we covered the analysis of five UDRP cases against domain names, represented and won by ESQwire.com.

One of the important lessons extracted from the report, is that latecomers often attempt to wrestle away generic domain names from their owners; such attempts deserve – but do not necessarily result in – a finding of Reverse Domain Name Hijacking (RDNH.)

That lesson could not have been more timely.

On Friday, a UDRP was filed against the generic domain name Unblock.com, at the National Arbitration Forum. The domain Unblock.com is registered in the name of Uzair Gadit, CEO of PureVPN.

As the case is fresh, there is no indication about who is the Complainant.

The landing page at Unblock.com presents a customized under construction page, hinting of an application or service launch.

We’ll be watching case #1634154 for Unblock.com to analyze its decision, once information becomes available.
