During NamesCon 2016 in Las Vegas, the biggest domain conference of the year, we had the opportunity to talk to Mr. James Tuplin, Director of Business Development at Bodis.
He expanded on the goals, function and corporate attitude of Bodis, as a domain monetization provider.
Here is the interview:
DomainGang: What is your function and role at Bodis?
James Tuplin: I’m the Director of Business Development at Bodis, responsible for establishing and maintaining a great relationship with our customers. Before Bodis, I spent 5 years with NameDrive and 2 years at DomainSponsor.
At Bodis, I manage accounts with a portfolio size of between 2,000 and 50,000 domains and coordinate the day to day operations of our support team.
DomainGang: How is Bodis structured?
James Tuplin: We have personnel in Cologne and Berlin / Germany, in New Jersey and in Ireland.
DomainGang: What is the Bodis motto and modus operandi?
James Tuplin: We strive to be number one in the domain parking business.
Our motto is honesty and transparency in how we treat our customers, since inception.
We also assist with the sale of high traffic domains, offering our customers the opportunity to sell via Escrow.com instead of simply park their domains.
We are committed to delivering 100% satisfaction.
DomainGang: What is overall source of traffic of domain portfolios at Bodis?
James Tuplin: It’s 50% US traffic, and the rest is European and other locales.
DomainGang: How are new users guided through?
James Tuplin: New users are engaged by the support team at Bodis, that would highlight existing traffic for their domain portfolios.
We want to maximize the performance of their domains. To achieve this goal we communicate with our customers to get all possible information in order to better serve them.
At Bodis, we ultimately build relationships and friendships that last a long time.

Currently using them for parking now and I like the look of the Sales Landers. Regarding analytics, I’ve heard from others in the forums to disregard Brasil traffic because most of that is bot traffic. Is this true?

Omar – Some countries are notorious for being used by botnets for nefarious activities. I’d ask Bodis directly about it. Glad you liked the article!
