Uniregistry launched dot .Mom yesterday, and what an enthusiastic response it has been.
Perhaps due to the timing of the launch right before Mother’s Day, more than 20,000 .Mom registrations were made.
An interesting tidbit of information: Almost 15,000 of those registrations occurred in China.
According to data from ntldstats, two Chinese domain registrars, Chengdu West Dimension Digital Technology Co., Ltd. and Alibaba Cloud Computing Ltd. d/b/a HiChina (www.net.cn) accounted for 68.5% of these registrations.
Apparently, China’s sons love their mothers and invested in .Mom heavily. 😉
Alas, the domain Chinese.mom would cost you $2,200 dollars to register, and an annual fee of $110 bucks.
But let’s focus on recent domain transactions in China, for .CN and .COM domains; we keep track of those that are between 2 to 4 characters in length.
Chinese domain sales have been slow, and we did not publish a report yesterday, so today’s list contains two days worth of data.
Here’s the list, courtesy of BenMi.com, the Chinese domain market sales tracker:
