LinkedIn password leak : Mark Zuckerberg’s social media accounts got hacked!

Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook founder.A leak of LinkedIn accounts and passwords originating in 2012, consisting of credentials shared among other social media accounts, is the most likely culprit in Mark Zuckerberg‘s latest account hack.

The Facebook founder temporarily lost control of several social media accounts: LinkedIn, Twitter, and Pinterest.

One would expect Mark Zuckerberg to be more careful with sharing the same password, “dadada” in this case, across several social media accounts. That’s a definite no-no these days, with strong passwords and two factor authentication being a must, to prevent domain name hijacking or worse.

The group that compromised Zuckerberg’s accounts didn’t appear to do it for any reason other than for the bragging rights, and the accounts were quickly restored.

Always create a unique, strong password for every one of your domain accounts, email and various social media profiles.

I not only hope his password was a little more complex but that he had a different one for each account as well. I have always made sure to never use the same password for any two accounts and to use capitol and lower case letters, numbers and symbols.
