China‘s population of almost 1.4 billion people has grown to become a large mind force.
From 3.4 million university students, to 26.2 million in 2015, the Chinese prepare their kids from kindergarten age, for the state-mandated exams, called “gaokao.”
And yet, the poor don’t get access to the same universities that wealthy parents send their kids to.
So much for “Communist Capitalism” and its “Dream China” motto, and there is a trend for fake universities to issue degrees in China.
Meanwhile, domain investors in China are fed up being reminded of last year’s clusterfuck at the stock market. More than $5 trillion dollars was lost, as stocks tumbled in value.
This year, newbies that treated domain investors as a safe vessel to transport money with, are struggling to match their investment’s worth by liquidating assets.
We keep track of short domain sales of between 2 to 4 characters in length, for three primary TLDs: .CN, .COM and .NET.
Here is today’s list of domain names, courtesy of BenMi.com, the Chinese domain sales tracker.

We are definitely seeing an increase in volume, but average sales of LLLL .com domains (Chips) remain in the $1200 – $1400 territory.

I’m surprised they have been lasting this long at that price range. However, I have been seeing some CHIPs in sales reports in the low to mid 3 digits. So maybe that means that they are starting to fall after all? 🙂
