Chinese domain market report : World’s oldest domainers?

Chinese domain market report.

Chinese domain market report.

China‘s population of 1.4 billion ranks the country as number one in the world.

The Chinese economy is currently second in the world after the US, but consumerism trends – often referred to as Communist Capitalism – will most likely propel China to the top spot.

China’s population over 65 is 10.3% for the mainland, with Hong Kong at 15.9%.

The world’s most aged domainers are in Japan, apparently, with 27.3% of the population above 65 years of age.

The Chinese domain market has been stalling recently, and that’s a global phenomenon referred to as the summer doldrums, according to many non-scientists.

The bitter truth is that after a year of intense trading, and even a huge stock market crash, the Chinese economy pulls its respective domain market along.

Domain investments exist, but trading among domainers has lessened, all while prices for so-called “Chips” has lost half their December 2015 value.

We keep track of short domains, between 2 to 4 characters, that changed hands in the .COM, .CN and .NET TLDs among the Chinese.

Today’s list combines 48 hours of transactions, due to the small volume of sales.
